What is a Dad?

A dad is a person
Who's loving and kind,
And often he knows
What you have on your mind.

He's someone who listens,
Suggests and defends...
A dad can be one
Of your very best friends!

He's proud of your triumphs,
But when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
And helpful and strong.

In all that you do
A dad's love plays a part -
There's always a place for him
Deep in your heart -

And each year that passes,
You're even more glad,
More grateful and proud
Just to call him your dad!

Forgotten

They said she was "different", she had no friends, maybe she might have had they seen the end.
Nobody knew she had no pride or that
she was slowly dying inside.
They only knew her name was May, she wasn't welcome and that's the way it would stay.
Finally one night she crept from her bed, "why can't I stay?", was all that she said.
She went to the door and unlocked her heart, all though it had already been torn apart.
Out on the terrace the tears rolled, one by one she lost control.
As the wind turned her tears to ice, and gently blew her hair, she climbed the ledge and embraced the midnight air.
The decision was made and at the count of three, a little jump and she would be free.
She shut her eyes and squeezed her palms, as she fell, she knew what she had done was wrong.
1 A.M. police received a call of a young girl who fell a far fall.
Her parents watched as the black bag was zipped that was the night there souls were ripped.
A few people's oblivious acts caused everyone to beg for something they could never get back.
When they buried her six feet in the dirt, there was so much confusion, pain-hurt...
Should anyone feel there only way out is what May's family is grieving about?
If you see someone being forgotten, show our compassion and spare being rotten.
Because there are so many May's in this world, doing a little is actually a lot...
even though the damage can never be forgot.

God Help Me

God help me
I feel so helpless
I can't stop these tears
I can't stop this tragedy from unfolding
I need help
My tears have flooded this river
Am I drowning or is it the knot in my throat?
I can taste the bitterness
I can feel it
Or is that the knife in my back?
This beating is unrelenting
This treachery is so poetic
By my blood I am betrayed
I am consumed
This anger, this pain, this sadness
How can I still believe that things will be fine?
This rope is unraveling before me
Can I share this burden?
Will anyone help?
God help me

What Lies Behind a Smile?

What lies behind a smile
Is what's buried underneath
No one know about them
It's stored inside to keep
Mix feelings of jealousy and hurt
Has you tied up and confused
You just smile and go about your day
As you're acting so amused
You cry your eyes out
But ashamed for someone to see
So as you hear footsteps
You wipe your eyes and cheese
All has bottled up inside
And you just want to explode
Suicide crosses the mind
But reality won't let you go
You feel all alone
And don't know what else to do
It feels the people physically close
Are far away from you
As your heart turns cold
And your mind turns weak
Suddenly some words are very hard to speak
Your bright world all of a sudden seems to turn black
The switch is no where near
To brighten your world back
Not much seems to go your way
And you're thinking it shall past
Not if it's been going on for months
And it's really getting bad
So what do you do now
Go whine to someone
You feel they can't relate
So you combine with no one
Some people look at you
And think you have it good
But if they really knew the truth
It wouldn't be understood
Some people look down on you
And think your problems are small
But if they walked in your shoes
Could they live through it all
It's easy to look from the outside
But they really don't understand
You want someone to help you
By at least holding out a hand

Friends in High School Are Forever Young

Friends in high school are forever young. Unchanged, they're where you always will belong. The crowd is never gone, the pleasure stays, The music of the moment always plays, The time remains a field of wistful grace To which you may return from anyplace. Of course, you may still know them later on When you are someone else and years have run; And you may love them dearly, and they you, But time must make their friendship something new. Meanwhile, flourishing within your heart There is a whole, of which you were a part: A group of friends, one in love and pain, In whom your longing comes alive again.

Love of My Life

"Last night I looked up at the stars and matched every one with a reason why I love you... but soon I ran out of stars."

"You have a heart. I have a heart.Put them together, we become one.

"Your love is the fire that ignites the passion in my soul.

"No one can take your place. "Stop searching forever, happiness is right next to you."

"Love: If it is meant to be, our hearts will find each other.

Personal Love

"I shall forever wait for you, from dusk to dawn. Your heart will forever be with me, for I am in love. You have shown me the way, and for that I must remember, you are forever to be mine.
